3 Keys to Unlock Supernatural Authority (3min)

I want to share with you three keys to unlock supernatural authority in your life. In Exodus 3-4, Moses has his burning bush encounter with the Lord.
“So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.” When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.””
Exodus 3:3-4 NIV
When God saw that Moses turned aside to discover why the bush was burning, He began to speak to Moses. When we embrace the presence of God, God speaks.
1. Overcome Fear

The first thing God speaks to Moses about is overcoming fear. God begins to tell Moses about becoming a voice of deliverance to the Hebrew children so that they may come out of Egypt and into the Promised land. Then to overcome the fear of Pharaoh and demonic supernatural in Egypt, God reveals His supernatural power to Moses.
“Then the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?”
“A staff,” he replied.
The Lord said, “Throw it on the ground.”
Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake, and he ran from it. Then the Lord said to him, “Reach out your hand and take it by the tail.” So Moses reached out and took hold of the snake and it turned back into a staff in his hand.”
Exodus 4:2-4 NIV
What is in your hand? When God began to speak to Moses and told him to pick up the snake from the tail, God was giving Moses a revelation about the supernatural power of God.
2. Recognize God is the Source of Supernatural Power

The devil tries to counterfeit the things of God. We need to recognize who we are and Whose we are.
Later, God sends Moses and Aaron into the courts of Pharaoh to establish that they are sent from Him. Moses throws down the rod and it becomes a snake. In response, all the magicians do the same, to reveal their power. Check this out:
“Each one threw down his staff and it became a snake. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs.” Exodus 7:12 NIV
3. Swallow up the Darkness

When the rod of Aaron eats the other magician’s staffs, it is a supernatural picture that when we overcome fear and recognize that God is our source of supernatural power, then the power of God in us will swallow up darkness around us until there’s none left. What were those magicians, sorcerers and wise men going to do afterwards? Their rod was their source of authority. God swallowed up darkness where the whole land knew that the God of Moses was greater than the gods of Pharaoh.

I want to commission you to step into your authority. Turn aside to focus on the Lord’s presence and overcome fear. Understand that all power comes from Him. Then, His power in you will overcome all darkness around you. God wants to use the gifts and talents He’s given you so that you can release the supernatural power of God everywhere you go.
