The Power of Testimony (3min)

Let’s talk about the power of testimony.

“…For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelation 19:10

Bobby Conner is my spiritual mentor when it comes to the prophetic. I met Bobby at a conference. He came up to me and said, “Hey, Boy! How would you like to travel the world with me? God says that you’re a young eagle and I’m suppose to mentor you as a son.”

At 23 years old, I started traveling with him all over the world. I will never forget one of the first times I traveled with Bobby. He told me about all these encounters that he had: face-to-face visitations with Jesus, angelic visitations, being transported and translated. I remember it was amazing, but after 3-4 days I began thinking: “Am I even saved?! My salvation is not the same as his, Lord.” Bobby would say, “Let’s pray. What do you see?” I would be like, “The back of my eyelids!” I was so upset.

One day, Bobby looked at me and said, “You’re frustrated, aren’t you?” I was like, “No. I’m good.” He said, “Come on! You can’t lie to a prophet.” So I shared my heart with him. Bobby replied, “Do you know what your problem is? Boy, you think like an orphan, not like a son. The key to my anointing over all these years is this: You get what you talk about. The key to my open heaven is telling the testimonies of Jesus. You need to learn to become heavenly minded.”

I had some work to do. It was time for me to actively overcome thinking like an orphan. You see, orphans always focus on what they don’t have. They focus on what everyone else has and they think, “God doesn’t love them as much because He’s not doing that for me.” Do you know what sons do? Sons focus on what is available to them. They focus on what is theirs based on the Word of God and inheritance through Christ.

When I started thinking like a son, then I began to hear and see. I began to meditate and live Colossians 3:2-3:

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”

I began to talk about the miracles of God everywhere I was going. I started to share my dreams and the visions. The more I talk about God, the more it activates God in my life. Why? What you focus on, you empower. If you’re always focused on the devil and demons, you won’t have God encounters.

Keep It Simple…

Focus on Jesus who is on the throne. Meditate on Revelation 4 and 5. Value the things of God- miracle testimonies, visitations, hearing His voice and the encounters you read in the Word. Change your mindset to think like a son. Meditate on these things, share the testimony of Jesus and watch them be a springboard to activate the encounters of God in your own life.
