Head Knowledge vs. Revelation (2min)
Article by Jerame Nelson
There are a lot of people who know a lot of things about Jesus. They’ve become “celebrity mindset christians”! Let me show you what I mean: In today’s world, many people follow celebrities on Instagram or Twitter. They know everything about their favorite celebrity’s life, their car, their favorite restaurants, their mannerisms. They act like the celebrity is their best friend. But if you talk to them one-on-one, you realize that they don’t really know that person at all. They only know about them.
In this same way, there are many people in the church that know all about Jesus. They know the stories. They know about the man, but they don’t know Jesus personally. God wants to change the way that we think. He wants to open our eyes and our ears. What we know about him in our heads, needs to move into our hearts.
Revelation knowledge is when you know the person of God instead of just knowing facts about Him.
That head knowledge of who Jesus is, turns into revelation in your heart when you begin to experience him. When you are intimate with Jesus and begin to know the person of who He is, you begin to live differently. When Jesus is real to you that when head knowledge transforms into revelation knowledge.
Keep It Simple…
It’s all about Jesus. Don’t just know about Him like you know a celebrity, it’s time to know Jesus intimately! Check out my article “How Do I Spend Time with God?” to increase your revelation of who He is.
