God's Releasing the BOLDNESS of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah (4min)
Article by Jerame Nelson
In Genesis 49:8-12, Jacob blesses His son, Judah, and is the first to describe the Lion of the tribe of Judah!
“You are a lion’s cub, Judah; you return from the prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, like a lioness—who dares to rouse him? The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his.” Genesis 49:9-10 NIV
Jesus is the fulfillment of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. In Revelation 5:1-5, John is in the throne room of God and He sees the One who is sitting on the throne with the scrolls in His hand. No one on the Earth or in the Heavens is worthy to loose the scroll. John begins to weep.
“Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.” Revelation 5:5 NIV
Jesus in His heavenly anointing and calling is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. It’s not a futuristic thing. That is who He is right NOW. He is the One who releases boldness on the Earth.
“The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.” Proverbs 28:1 NIV
Just like it says in the verse above, God wants to release boldness in your heart. This boldness is to proclaim the Word of God. Just like the prophesy from Jacob to His son, Judah, God wants you to spring up from the grave and pounce upon the enemy. He wants us to release signs and wonders and miracles in the power of God. He wants you to release boldness.
I was with Elisha Revolution Missions at a Pakistani refugee camp. We had about 1,000 meals to serve and I was told it was a safe place. When I got there, God told me to demonstrate the power of God before I began to feed by calling out a deaf ear so that they would know that He is real. So I called out a deaf ear and we prayed. A man who was deaf since birth was healed! We fed the people and preached the gospel. Many were saved.
On our way out, there was a UN representative that came up to us and told us that we were crazy for being there with no army and no protection. “Don’t you understand that these men were about to stone you to death?” It was because of God’s demonstration of power that opened their hearts and changed their original plan. Because of that miracle, we were able to preach the gospel with boldness. God wants us to not coward in fear, but to see His signs and wonders and miracles happen everywhere we go.
Receive this prayer…
Thank you God for the people who are reading this article! I decree the boldness of the Lion of the tribe of Judah to rise up in your people, in Jesus’ name.
Live in the boldness of the Lion of the tribe of Judah and release the Kingdom of heaven on Earth!
